Species Appropriate Diet

We believe in a diet that is designed to enhance our pet's life. A wholesome fresh diet can add months and even years to our pet's life span (Lippert, G and Sapy, B. Relations between the domestic dogs’ well-being and life expectancy statistical essay for the Prince Laurent Foundation Prize, 2003).

Our field research has shown that feeding our pet's a diet that is biologically appropriate has ONLY improved their overall health AND has helped owners not spend additional time or money at the vet's office.

Let's plan for your pet's future together!

PMR Diet - 80/10/10

Most dogs reach optimal health with a higher protein diet. Most raw diets consist of at least 40% protein - real protein.

The PMR (Prey Model Raw) suggests 80% muscle meat, 10% bones, and 10% organs (liver & and other offal)

This is a great option for any stage of life - but especially helpful to puppies and senior dogs!

BARF Diet - 70/10/10/10

The feeding model that sounds unappealing but is the most widely used by owners.

A BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) consists of 70% muscle meat, 10% bone, 10% organs (liver & other offal), and 10% fruit/veggies/seeds.

This is a great feeding option for dogs that need a little more fiber and antioxidants in their daily diets.

Kibble & Raw - 50/50

Not everyone can afford a 100% raw diet - and that's ok!

A lot of nutritionists do not believe in a 50/50 diet of kibble to raw. However, we believe that there is room for positive change when doing at least 10% or more of fresh food. We recommend owners try to feed as fresh as possible at each meal! That's our goal!

There may need to be a change in your kibble choice to better your dog's health.
